Profile & Preferences

Manage your account details, location, and display preferences in PetroBench from the Account Settings page: name and contact info, regional and appearance settings, and how preferences inherit from your organization.

Account Settings is where you manage your personal details and preferences. Open it from the user menu (your name at the bottom-left of the sidebar) and choose Settings, then the Profile tab.

The page is organized into tabs: Profile, Security, Organizations, Apps, and Notifications.

Profile & Account

Click Edit on the card to update your Name, Email, and Phone.

Location Info

Click Edit to update your Address, City, State, ZIP, and Country.

Preferences

The Preferences card customizes how the app looks and behaves for you. Each setting has a Change control.

Many preferences inherit from your organization by default. An Inherited (or Auto) badge means the value comes from a higher level. Pick your own to override it, or choose Use organization default to go back to inheriting.

Regional

Language sets the language the app is shown in. Each option lists its native name; available when your organization has the language feature enabled.

Unit System sets the units for every number in the app:

SystemUnits
US (Imperial)US customary units (feet, psi, lbs, API gravity)
InternationalHybrid system for Canada (meters, kPa, lbs, API gravity)
MetricFull metric system (meters, kPa, Newtons, g/cm³)

Press Ctrl + Shift + U (Cmd + Shift + U on Mac) from anywhere to cycle through your organization's enabled unit systems without opening Settings.

Timezone sets the timezone for timestamps across the app. Leave it on Auto to detect it from your browser; the selector is searchable and shows each zone's UTC offset.

Workspace

  • Default Organization - if you belong to more than one organization, which one loads when you sign in (or Auto-select on login).
  • Landing Page - the page you land on after signing in. Only pages you can access are listed.

Appearance

  • Theme - Light, Dark, or System (follows your device). Available when dark mode is enabled for your organization.
  • Display Density - Compact, Default, or Spacious spacing.
  • Detail Panel - show or hide the detail side panel in the Wells and RodSim list views.
