Simulations List

Find, filter, and manage rod pump simulations across all wells in PetroBench. Search, filter, sort, run, and delete simulations in bulk from the RodSim list.

The RodSim list is where you find, filter, and act on every simulation across your wells. Open it from the RodSim app in the left sidebar.

Simulations and Comparisons

Two tabs sit above the list:

  • Simulations - individual rod pump analyses (the default view).
  • Comparisons - saved side-by-side studies. See Simulation Comparisons.

Use the search box to filter by simulation name or well name. Results update as you type and combine with any active filters.

Filter

Click Filter to narrow the list. The button shows a badge with the number of active filters.

Filter groups:

GroupFilters by
Pumping UnitManufacturer and model assigned to the simulation
Parameter OneThe first design parameter
Parameter TwoThe second design parameter
Created DateWhen the simulation was created
Last ModifiedWhen the simulation was last changed

Save as default keeps your current filters every time you open RodSim. Clear default removes the saved set, and Clear Filters resets the current view without touching your saved default.

Columns

ColumnDescription
SimulationName of the analysis. Sortable.
WellThe well the simulation belongs to
DescriptionFree-text summary
Assigned ToThe engineer responsible, if assigned
InstalledToggle marking the simulation as the well's installed design
CreatedCreation date. Sortable.
Last ModifiedDate of the most recent change. Sortable.

Click a sortable column header to sort; click again to reverse the order.

Detail Panel

Select a row to open the detail panel on the right. It summarizes the simulation without leaving the list:

  • Simulation Info - name and description
  • Pumping Unit - manufacturer and model
  • Timeline - created, last modified, and when it was last simulated

Click View Simulation to open it, or close the panel to collapse it.

Create a Simulation

  1. Click New Simulation
  2. Pick a well from the well picker
  3. Confirm to open a new simulation on that well

See Creating a Simulation for the full input workflow.

Bulk Actions

Select simulations with the row checkboxes, or use the header checkbox to select every row on the page. A bulk action bar appears with:

  • Run - queue every selected simulation
  • Delete - remove every selected simulation

Deleting is permanent. Selected simulations and their results are removed and cannot be recovered.

Row Menu

Each row has a menu (three dots) with quick actions:

  • Duplicate - copy the simulation, including its inputs
  • Delete - remove the single simulation

Pagination

The footer shows the visible range and total (for example, Showing 1 to 10 of 100 simulations). Set Rows per page and use the first, previous, next, and last controls to page through results.
