Validation Errors

ErrorFix
"Total rod string length must be within 50 feet of PSN depth"Adjust rod lengths to match PSN depth ±50 ft
"Target [parameter] is required"Fill in the target value for your selected parameter
"API pump type is required"Select a pump type in Well Data
"Pump diameter must be greater than 0"Enter pump diameter in Well Data
"Fluid gradient must be between 0 and 0.65"Enter a value in the valid range
"When Full Pump is enabled, pump fill must be 100%"Set Pump Fill to 100% or disable Full Pump toggle
"No pumping unit selected"Click Select Pumping Unit and choose one
"Rod string is empty"Add at least one rod segment
"PSN depth is required"Enter pump setting depth in Tubing Data
"Polished rod diameter must be one of: 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 2.00"Select a standard size

Execution Errors

ErrorFix
"The simulation engine is taking longer than expected"Wait and retry, or increase step length
"The simulation engine is temporarily unavailable"Wait a few minutes and retry
"Unable to connect to the simulation engine"Disconnect VPN if using one, then retry
"The simulation calculation failed"Verify configuration and retry
"The simulation data could not be validated"Check inputs for errors
"An unexpected error occurred while running the simulation"Retry, contact support if persistent
If simulations keep failing, duplicate a working simulation and modify one parameter at a time to isolate the issue.

Equipment Not Found

Pumping unit not in library:
  1. Search by partial model number
  2. Try alternate naming (e.g., “C-228D-133-74” vs “C228D13374”)
  3. Create custom unit under Equipment > Pumping Units
Rod not in library:
  1. Select Rod Type first (filters the other dropdowns)
  2. Create custom rod under Equipment > Rods > Custom Rods

Missing Survey Data

PSN geometry fields (TVD, inclination, DLS) show blank or zero.
  1. Go to Well Details > Directional Surveys
  2. Create or import a survey
  3. Select the survey in Simulation Preferences
