Well Data

Water Cut

Percentage of total produced liquid that is water.

Water Specific Gravity

Density of the produced water relative to pure water.

Casing Pressure

Pressure of the casing measured at surface.

Stuffing Box Friction

Friction force between the polished rod and the packing in the stuffing box.

API Pump Type

The user can select between an insert pump or a tubing pump.

Pump Diameter

Plunger diameter of the bottom hole pump.

Pump Friction

Friction force between the pump plunger and barrel.

Oil API

Density of the produced oil, measured in degrees of API gravity.

Fluid Specific Gravity

Density of the produced fluid relative to pure water, this is a calculated value and is not editable.

Run Time

Number of hours per day the pumping unit is operating.

Tubing Pressure

Pressure of the tubing measured at the flow tee.

Pump Vol Eff

Volumetric efficiency of the bottom hole pump as a percentage.

Pumping Unit Type

Users can select Branded, Measured, or Create Measured. Branded allows the user to select from a list of manufacturers in the pumping unit library. Measured allows the users to select from a list of user-defined pumping unit manufacturers and models. Create measured allows the user to define a pumping unit that will then be added to the measured list for future use.

Pumping Unit Manufacturer/Line

Users can select from a list of branded pumping unit’s product lines; the list shows the manufacturer and the product line. If the user selects “Measured” for “Pumping Unit Type” then they will be able to select from the list of manufacturers for which measured units have been created.

Model

For the selected “Manufacturer/Line” the user can select a model from the list of available models.

Rotation

Users can select the rotation direction from the choices available for the specified model (some units can only go clockwise, some can only go counter-clockwise, come can go both ways)

Crank Hole Number

Users can select the crank hole number base on how many a unit has. The calculated Stroke Length is listed beside each crank hole number option.

Motor Type

Users can select between electric and combustion; if the user selects combustion, they will be required to enter a ground elevation value to calculate the derated horsepower.

If the user selects a hydraulic unit, the following fields appear where the user can define the parameters that generate the surface velocity:

Hyd Turn Around Time

The duration of the pause at the top and bottom of the stroke.

Hyd Up Acc Time

The duration of the upward acceleration for the upstroke.

Hyd Up Dec Time

The duration of the upward deceleration for the upstroke.

Hyd Up Down Ratio

The ratio of the duration of the upstroke to the duration of the downstroke. If it is 1.5, the upstroke is 1.5 times the duration of the downstroke.

Hyd Down Acc Time

The duration of the downward acceleration for the downstroke.

Hyd Down Dec Time

The duration of the downward deceleration for the downstroke.
