Tubing Data

Maximum Allowable Inclination @PSN, Maximum Allowable Dogleg Severity @ PSN, and Maximum Allowable Dogleg Severity Above PSN are user defined parameters that are used to calculate the greatest PSN depth available without exceeding the above mentioned parameters.

Maximum Allowable Inclination @PSN

The highest tolerable inclination value at pump depth.

Maximum Allowable Dogleg Severity @ PSN

The highest tolerable dogleg severity value at pump depth.

Maximum Allowable Dogleg Severity Above PSN

The highest tolerable dogleg severity value from surface down to pump depth.

Maximum PSN Depth Available

Maximum measured depth the PSN can be landed at without exceeding any of the maximum allowable criteria

Tubing Anchored?

Users can select if they want the simulation to be run with the tubing anchored or not

Tubing Anchor Depth

The measured depth of the tubing anchor. If the well was manually created, this is populated with a user defined default (feet above PSN) in the RodSim default section. If the well was created from a rodstar or srod input file, it will be populated with the value from the file.

PSN Depth Selection

The measured depth of the PSN. If the well was manually created, the “PSN Depth Selection” will be populated with the “Maximum Selected PSN Depth Available” but the user can edit it to their liking. If the well was created from a rodstar or srod input file, it will be populated with the value from the file, but can still be edited.

Target Fluid Level, TVD @ PSN, Inclination @ PSN, Dogleg Severity @ PSN, and Largest Dogleg Severity Above PSNare calculated values that provide information on the selected PSN depth.

Tubing Details Row at the Bottom

Everything is populated with default values, if the user changes the OD, all of the other values are populated for the changed OD.
