Rod Pump Production Calculator
The rod pumping production calculator is a quick simple production estimation tool.
The user can get a fluid production estimate by entering a stroke rate, or obtain a stroke rate by entering a desired fluid production value. If the user selects a pumping unit, the surface stroke is used for the calculation; if the user wishes to, they can manually enter a stroke length that is more representative of the bottom hole pump stroke.
Plunger Diameter
Diameter of the plunger of the bottom hole pump in inches.
Pump Fill
The volume of fluid in the bottom hole pump at the top of the stroke as a percentage of the total volume between the travelling and standing valves.
Pump Efficiency
The volumetric fluid production of the bottom hole pump as a percentage of the maximum possible fluid production volume if the pump was 100% efficient, in that case the pump slippage would be zero.
Pumping Unit Type
The user can select between a branded pumping unit, a previously created custom pumping unit, or they can create a new custom pumping unit.
Manufacturer Line
The manufacturer and the product line of the pumping unit.
Model
The pumping unit model, available selections will be populated based on the manufacturer and product line.
Manual Stroke Length
The user can enter a manual stroke length if they wish to use a value more representative of the bottom hole pump stroke.
Desired Production
The user can enter a desired daily fluid production, in this case a stroke rate necessary to achieve the desired production will be calculated.
Desired SPM
The user can enter a desired stroke rate, in this case the daily fluid volume will be calculated based on the specified stroke rate.
