Audit Logs

Search and export Admin Panel audit logs in PetroBench: filter by user, description, and date range, then download results as CSV.

Audit Logs record administrative and security-relevant actions in your organization. Review them from Admin Panel > Security > Audit Logs to investigate changes, support compliance reviews, or answer who changed what.

HQ Admin and Division Admin users can access audit logs within their scope. Region Admin and Key User accounts do not have access to this page.

What audit logs include

Typical entries cover actions such as:

  • User invites, role changes, activations, and deactivations
  • Division and region create, update, or status changes
  • License allocation changes
  • Security and permission updates
  • Other administrative events in the Admin Panel

Each row includes a timestamp, the acting user, a description of the event, and contextual details where available.

For a single well's change history (edits, simulations, locks, tags), open the well Activity Log instead. See Activity Log.

Search audit logs

  1. Go to Admin Panel > Security > Audit Logs
  2. Enter search terms in the Search field (matches user name or event description)
  3. Press Enter or wait for the list to refresh

Narrow results further with the date range filter.

Filter by date range

  1. Open Audit Logs
  2. Set Start Date and End Date (or choose a preset range when offered)
  3. Apply the filter

The table updates to show only events within the selected period. Clear the filter to return to the full scoped list.

For incident reviews, start with a tight date window around the reported time, then widen if you need more context.

Export to CSV

  1. Apply any search or date filters you need
  2. Click Export CSV
  3. Save the downloaded file locally

The export includes the filtered result set. Use it for offline analysis, ticket attachments, or compliance archives.

Audit logs may contain user emails and organizational details. Store exported files according to your company's data handling policy.
